Þórdís Aðalsteinsdóttir is an Icelandic painter. He studied at the University of the Arts in Iceland (1999–2000), the University of Barcelona (2001–03) and the School of Visual Arts, New York. Since 1999, his work has been exhibited in private and joint exhibitions in the Nordic countries, the USA, Japan, Italy and Canada. Þórdís, who lives and works in New York, has received the annual Penn scholarship from Iceland in 2004 and the NYFA scholarship in 2012. In 2008, he was a finalist in the Carnegie Art Prize for Nordic painting.
